Orange Bike Day Luxembourg

To close the European Mobility Week in style, the Netherlands Embassy in Luxembourg will organize the third bicycle tour, in cooperation with the LVI (Lëtzebuerger Vëlos-Initiativ) on September 24.
The Grand Duke of Luxemburg may be small at size, everyone moves around by car. While there are traffic jams on every highway from Belgium, France, Germany till Luxemburg, you need to have time and patience in the city center’s as well. Even though the bike has many advantages: it is a fast way to move around on short distances, good for your health, environmentally friendly and has minimal costs (of maintenance).
The good thing is that Luxemburg is busy promoting and expanding its bicycle-infrastructure. With the construction of cycle tracks in and around the city, the coordinating of the local cycling routes and initiatives like Vel’oh, one seeks to contribute to a sustainable and mobile Luxemburg. Still it is important to make people aware of the safety part of cycling, wherefore much campaigns are organized.
To further promote the use of the bike as means of transport, all bike-fans are called to cycle with us on Saturday the 24th of September.
